The Ford Fusion has recently redesigned its line up to exclude the sportier trim models and make room for a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. However, that doesn't mean the Ford Fusion sedan wont "get up and go."

The Ford Fusion offers up to four different power train options. The standard is a 2.5L four cylinder that provides up to 175 horsepower. While this engine does have enough power to get you where you need to go, many enthusiasts state that its great for fuel economy, but it is not as peppy as other engine choices. A second, "peppier" engine option is the turbocharged 1.5L four cylinder that offers up to 181 horsepower. Experts state that acceleration is much more satisfactory with this engine. A third, and definitively exciting engine choice is the turbo-four 2.0L four cylinder that really bumps up the horsepower. At 245 horses under the hood, you'll definitely experience "pep" while driving.

The hybrid powertrain of the Fusion is not one to be left unnoticed. It is a 2.0L four cylinder that combines the gas and electric motor to produce 188 horsepower.
