Ford is the oldest American car manufacturer, and has been around since 1903. They are headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. The Bronco Sport is a compact SUV that was first introduced in 1984 as a competitor to Jeep's CJ-7 model. It had off-road features that made it an instant hit with its target demographic, which was rural families with four-wheel drive vehicles who were looking for something more than just another sedan or station wagon on the market at the time. The Bronco was discontinued in 1996 after it didn't meet federal regulations, most notably airbag requirements.

Ford is now considering bringing back the Bronco to compete with Jeep's Wrangler model once again. The Bronco was expected to be released in 2020, but the overall demand for SUVs has changed Ford's plan. The current rumor is that Ford will wait until 2022 to release the new Bronco. The last time the Bronco was on sale, it used a 2.9L V6 engine with about 140 horsepower and 175 torque.
