Engine Excitement in the Ford Ranger

The Ford Ranger is more than its rugged appearance would have you believe. In fact, at Midway Ford Truck Center, we can confirm that much of its protective capacity comes from the driver assists of Ford Co-Pilot 360™. Its Lane Keeping System can detect when you’re drifting out of your lane and then adjust steering so the truck stays in line. Adaptive Cruise Control ensures that the truck maintains a safe distance from the car in front by slowing down and speeding up as needed.

Its frame is constructed from high-strength steel and support by six crossmembers. Allowing for up to 1,860 pounds of payload and 7,500 pounds of towing capacity is the 2.3L EcoBoost® that pushes out 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque.

Fuel efficiency reaches an EPA-estimated 26 MPG on the highway and 21 MPG in the city. Auto Start-Stop Technology contributes to this range by shutting the engine down at stops and restarting it again when you want to move.
